VIA has established various committees to assure the SmartWaySA
remains focused, on schedule and responsive to the community:
Committee Information for Inner-City Rail Streetcar Downtown Circulator
Study
Steering Committee for Long Range Comprehensive Transportation Plan
The Steering Committee includes representation from the Transportation Task Force
(TTF), with a VIA Board representative as the chair. Other members of the Steering
Committee include legislative officials, agency officials, local government officials,
and other community leaders.
Technical Advisory Committee for Long Range Comprehensive Transportation
Plan
The Technical Advisory Committee consists of staff from each of the partner agencies
including: VIA, MPO, AACOG, City of San Antonio, Bexar County, TxDOT, RMA, suburban
cities, CPS, SAWS, with VIA’s project manager as the chair.
